The Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library is seeking a Facilities and Maintenance Associate.

The Facilities and Maintenance Associate is responsible for overseeing all aspects of maintenance and upkeep of library facilities. 
Responsibilities include all maintenance and minor repairs of buildings and equipment, monitoring preventative maintenance programs on most equipment, including HVAC systems, ensuring the daily cleanliness of the building in coordination with the janitorial service, having a knowledge of cleaning products, specialized tools, and equipment, tracking and maintaining an adequate supply of consumables and cleaning supplies, and scheduling tile floor stripping and waxing as needed.

This position will also assist the library staff with furniture and maintenance needs and special projects, and assist the branch librarians with maintenance and upkeep at the seven branch locations and the bookmobile.


Applicants should have a high school diploma or G.E.D. certificate and three years of maintenance related experience and training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Supervisory experience is preferred. This position requires a valid driver's license. A driving records check will be required.

This is a part-time position with pay starting at $14.00 per hour.

The Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library is seeking a Branch Manager for the McAdams Public Library in Lake City.
 

The Lake City Branch Manager is responsible for ensuring excellent customer service to all library patrons, while overseeing all operations of the branch library.

Responsibilities also include assisting groups and individuals with various information needs, maintaining branch library collections, offering programs to patrons of all ages, and promoting the library in the community. This position also includes supervising the branch substitutes and any interns or volunteers at the branch.

Applicants should have some college education and/or three years of customer service experience and training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A valid driver's license is preferred for this position.

This is a full-time position with compensation starting at the rate of $15.00 per hour, negotiable considering education and experience.

Benefits include a generous paid time off plan and APERS Retirement. PTO, insurance, and retirement benefits amount to approximately $13,000 in value per year.
